Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a actress, playwright, director, producer and teacher of St. Thomas University). Her father hails from Britain and her mother is an "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's earliest memories involve attending rehearsals for plays as well as watching her mother's work. Her appearances in commercials were numerous as a young child. Anna was able to move to Toronto so that her acting skills could develop. The actress later relocated Los Angeles. She met Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an acting training held in Los Angeles, and they were engaged in 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism by then, and Seth Cooperman were married in December of 2010 in Fredericton. In April of 2011, they renewed their wedding vows by having the traditional Jewish ceremony.
