Born on Jan. 19th, 1946, on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family which would later consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the challenges of life by using her expansive and vivid imagination. Before she began learning to write and read, she began making up her own songs. The first time she picked up a guitar was when she was 8 and began singing on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at eleven years old. She released her debut album during the same year Gold Band Records, a tiny independent label. Even though she was still studying, she had already established herself within the local community. However, her goal was to be more widely well-known. Her move to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated presenter on television in the late '60s, was looking for a woman to sing for his program. Parton was offered the gig and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and joined with the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She resigned in 1974. at the end of Wagoner's show due to the success of her singles like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was surpassing their joint albums. Parton following the breakup of their association with Wagoner She wrote her hit song"I Will Never Love You and made it to Number. 1 for the first time in 1974.
